Valencia Shores Master Association COVID-19: Guidelines
This guidance is intended for residents to screen themselves and to report any signs or symptoms to their medical provider. It is not intended for people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, including persons under investigation. Individuals with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 should follow the guidance found at www.cdc.gov. Do you have any of the following?
□ Fever Residents who have symptoms of acute respiratory illness are recommended to notify their medical provider and stay home until they are free of fever (100.4° F [38.0° C] or greater using an oral thermometer), have signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g. cough suppressants). □ Shortness of breath (not severe) □ Cough □ Chills □ Repeated shaking with chills □ Muscle pain □ Headache □ Sore throat □ New loss of taste or smell
Are you ill, or caring for someone who is ill?
• Residents who are well but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should notify their medical provider. • If an resident is confirmed to have COVID-19, they should inform medical provider of their possible exposure to COVID-19 but maintain confidentiality as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
In the two weeks before you felt sick, did you:
□ Have contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19?
□ Live in or visit a place where COVID-19 is spreading?
If you have one or more symptom(s) that may be related to COVID-19 stay home and take care of yourself.
